Steam vs. Epic Games client differences, Unofficial browser filtering, and essential day-one tips.
1. **Verify Client & Free Map DLCs**: Ensure ARK: Survival Evolved is updated and free expansion maps (Ragnarok, Fjordur, Valguero) are installed in your store library.
2. **In-Game Unofficial Browser**: Click `Join ARK` from the main menu, set `Session Filter` (bottom-left) to `Unofficial`, and type `PRIMEORDIAL` in the Name Filter.
3. **Steam Favorites Browser**: Once a server's verified Query `IP:Port` is published on its detail page, add it in Steam via `View -> Game Servers -> Favorites`.
4. **Epic Games Compatibility**: Epic Games clients do not support Steam Workshop mods and can only join servers explicitly badged for `STEAM + EPIC` crossplay via the in-game browser.
